Beca - FTC 1002
Wheeler H.S.

Where are they now?

Rockin' Robots have had some outstanding team members during our past four seasons as an FTC team.  We'd like to keep track and let people know what our former teammates are doing these days.

Omar is in 12th grade at Marietta High School where he is enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program.  He was originally a founding member of the Rockin' Robots in 2009 but had to drop out for a couple years.  He came back when we transitioned to FTC and participated in 7th and 8th grade for the Ring It Up and Block Party seasons.  He returned for the beginning of the Cascade Effect season as a mentor to the team.  Omar served as a builder, designer, and driver during his time with 5940.

Griffin - FTC 1002
Wheeler H.S.

Griffin graduated from Wheeler High school in 2017 where he was a member of the Circuit Runners FTC1002 for the past four years.  He was a founding member of the Rockin' Robots when it was an FLL team and participated in our first year of FTC during Ring It Up!  Griffin has visited with our team many times and helped us out when we were short-handed and under time pressure.  He is leading the Veteran Team for Circuit Runners for the 2016-17 season.  We are excited to see him at the helm of their FTC team this coming season!

Jordan - Cornerstone Academy

Jordan is a Sophomore at Cornerstone Academy this year.  He is talking to them about founding an FTC team but that will likely happen for the 2017-18 season.  He is keeping his hand in taking robotics courses though!  Jordan was a driver and lead builder for our Championship 2015-16 Res-Q season. He was a builder for our 2014-15 season when we won an Inspire at Wheeler, went to Super-Regional, and competed at Worlds.  We wish Jordan continued good luck in high school!

Kate - Blessed Trinity FTC 9785 & FRC 4516
J.P. - Wheeler STEM Magnet Program

Kate is a Freshman at Blessed Trinity HS this year.  She is joining both their FTC and FRC teams this year!  Kate was our Co-Captain for two years, our electrical expert, and our notebook scribe.  In addition she has been a driver and helped lead us to our Georgia FTC Inspire award (among others) during the Res-Q season.  She was the team captain for our first Qualifier Alliance Captain win ever during the Velocity Vortex Season and our Design Award at FTC State as well.  We wish Kate good luck in high school and with both FTC and FRC this season!

JP is a Freshman at Wheeler's STEM Magnet Program this year.  He is taking a break from robotics to focus on classes this year (we will miss seeing him at FTC events).  He was our Co-Captain for the past two seasons and our lead programmer for the past 3 seasons.  JP's CAD designs led us to receive numerous PTC Design and Innovate Awards and at Worlds in 2015 we had the most CAD parts of any FTC robot!  We really hope that JP will miss robotics and return because any team would be lucky to have him!

William - East Cobb Robotics 11096

William is a member of East Cobb Robotics this year.  He has joined their FTC and we wish him luck!  William was a part of our Velocity Vortex and Res-Q teams for the past two years.  He has been a builder and assisted in a variety of areas.  He was with us when we won our Georgia FTC Inspire award (among others) during the Res-Q season our first Qualifier Alliance Captain win ever during the Velocity Vortex Season and our Design Award at FTC State as well.  We wish William good luck with both FTC this season!
