FIRST Scholarships
Colleges, universities, professional associations, and corporations offer college scholarships to Participants on FIRST teams - This is official recognition of the knowledge, technical, and life skills you have gained as a participant in a FIRST program.
FIRST Scholarships:
-
Are funded and administered by the Scholarship Providers (colleges, universities, corporations, etc.), not by FIRST
-
Each has unique eligibility requirements, deadline dates, and application procedures
-
The vast majority are available for Participants to apply for in their senior year of high school, as a Rising FIRST Alum.
-
Are usually for use at the specific Provider college or university, but a few can be used at any school
-
Are not just for engineering majors - roughly 35% of FIRST Scholarships can be used for any course of study
-
Vary from one-time awards of $500 to full four-year tuition
