Swing like a monkey into the FIRST®LEGO® League Jr. CREATURE CRAZESM season. Each year, FIRST LEGO League Jr. presents a new and exciting Challenge to ignite the creativity of elementary children. While exploring the real-world theme, teams will use basic engineering concepts to build a model made of LEGO® elements. They will also learn to present information through a Show Me Poster. Throughout their experience, teams will operate under the FIRST LEGO League Jr. Core Values, celebrating discovery, teamwork, and Gracious Professionalism®.

This is being hosted by the Circuit Runners of Wheeler High School. Register now by contacting jrfllworkshop@gmail.com or calling 770-977-5438.

The Event Was A Great Success!

Each newly registered FLL, Jr. team left the workshop with a complete kit and working iPad with robot brain that the kids and parents had a chance to use during the workshop.  Wheeler has 10 additional kits avaialble for new FLL, Jr. teams to check out - the hope is that the workshop will be put on before each FLL, Jr. season and the kits will be available for those events!

Georgia FIRST's Senior Mentor - Linda Pham was avaiable throughout the day to answer questions for parents and help sign up new FIRST teams for FLL, Jr.  Here Kate and Beca pose with Linda before the presentation at the beginning of the workshop.

Beca led the overview of the program for all attendees in the main auditorium and coordinated all activities for the workshop while Kate taught the project portion and explained to parents how the process worked.  Children were broken out into four smaller groups that got to do hands-on robot building with the 12 complete kits available.
